The Spiritual Paths Foundation
Mission Statement

Spiritual Paths Institute founding faculty, Rev. Cynthia Bourgeault, Rabbi Rami Shapiro, Swami Atmarupananda, Shaikha Camille Helminski, Shaikh Kabir Helminski and Dr. Ed Bastian with Father Thomas Keating

The mission of the Spiritual Paths Foundation is to help people of all ages and backgrounds to create a personal spiritual path, a contemplative practice and a compassionate wisdom for serving themselves, their communities, the Earth and all living beings.  Since 2002 we have offered offer retreats, workshops, books and online courses on InterSpiritual Meditation, the InterSpiritual Mandala Process and InterSpiritual Mentoring.  We help people to harness and harmonize their archetypal learning styles and questions to create a personal spiritual path and contemplative practice from authentic resources within the world’s great spiritual and secular traditions. Our unique process for learning and practice helps people to find their life meaning and purpose, to discover the essence of their being and to fulfill their highest life potential.

Our students engage in a process of inquiry, insight and integration. Building on their own natural spiritual learning styles and deepest questions we help them to cultivate their own spiritual paths and meditative practices.  They learn to engage in the world by leading from within.

We call this work “InterSpiritual” because of our open curiosity and acceptance of the marvelous diversity of spiritual perspectives, processes and paths from many spiritual, philosophical, mythological and psychological traditions.  In our presentations, meditations and discussions we experience a heart-based interconnection with one another that is the foundation for active engagement in the world.

Our courses and educational materials help participants develop a sustainable contemplative practice, benefit from the wisdom of diverse traditions and create a community of people from many spiritual perspectives.  We help  individuals to develop their own spiritual paths and the InterSpiritual Wisdom to guide them in their personal lives, relationships, professions, and service to others.
